# Introduction

As an admin, you can embed Volunteers for Salesforce pages directly in your website so that volunteers can sign themselves up for jobs and track their own volunteer history. This part of setup and configuration is optional.

Volunteers for Salesforce works standalone even if it's not tied into your website. By doing the extra work, though, you extend the feature configuration work you've already done and put it to even more powerful use.
