# Learn About Student Success Hub Security

Configure security in Student Success Hub so that support staff have access to the tools they need to do their jobs and to use the app.

When configuring security for Student Success Hub, we recommend settings for profiles, permissions, and sharing based on what the app requires for object, field, and app access. We don't exhaustively cover other security considerations, such as organization-wide defaults, sharing rules, and user role hierarchies. We leave it up to you to determine what's appropriate for your school's security model.

For more information about Salesforce security, see [Control Who Sees What](https://help.salesforce.com/articleview?id=security_data_access.htm) in Salesforce Help.
