Important

- We recommend that you execute all of the steps in the installer plans, including optional steps. Completing all steps reduces errors and ensures that you have all of the configurations in place for customizing your org. For more information about the installation plans and steps, see [Student Success Hub K-12 Installation Reference](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ssh_reference_install_k12.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Understand what's included in the installation plans for K-12 Student Success Hub orgs.").
- We recommend that you install SSH into a new org that has no customizations. Installing SSH into an existing org can affect your custom metadata.
- Do **_not_** deploy Student Success Hub directly to a live production environment. Instead, deploy to a sandbox environment, customize configurations for your school or institution, and then migrate to production.

1. Go to the [Student Success Hub K-12 installer page](https://install.salesforce.org/products/ssh).
2. Log in to the correct Salesforce org.
3. Wait for the installer to retrieve information about the org.
4. Choose an installation plan.

    Base Plan

Installs the minimal, core packages required by Student Success Hub K-12 orgs. Required.

    Full Configuration Plan

Deploys metadata configurations that help you to get Student Success Hub up and running. Install the base plan before installing the full configuration plan. Recommended for all customers.

    Sample Data Plan

Inserts sample data that you can use to test or demo features. Install the base and full configuration plans before installing the sample data plan. Recommended for partners.
5. Review the installation steps and then run the installation.

The installation can take some time to complete. Check your email for confirmation that it was successful.

## Set Up the Installation Manager

The Installation Manager on the SSH Settings page lets you deploy optional, unmanaged metadata to your org. Make sure that you, as an admin, have access to it.

1. From Setup, on the System Administrator profile, under System Permissions, select **Customize Application**.
2. From Setup, on the System Administrator profile, under Apex Class Access, add **sfal.InstallerAuthorizationController**, **sfal.InstallerTypeSelectionController**, and **sfal.SalSettingsController** to the list of Enabled Apex Classes.
3. From Setup, search for and then select **Remote Site Settings**. Click **Edit** for the Tubular remote site, select **Active**, and save your changes.

For more information about the Installation Manager, see [Add Metadata to Your Student Success Hub Org](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ssh_setup_install_metadata.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use the Installation Manager in the Student Success Hub app to add unmanaged metadata to your org.").
