# Allow Fundseekers to Submit Applications

Configure sharing settings so that fundseekers can submit applications.

    To submit an application, fundseekers need Read access to their User record in order to transfer ownership from the site user to a default internal user. This allows fundseekers to view their submitted application.

Note Every org is unique, and giving Public Read Only access on the User object’s default external access may expose fields and data you otherwise would not want visible to site users. We recommend testing in a Sandbox org first.

1. Click ![Setup](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-outbound_funds_module-264-0-0-production-enus/2f847b24-f1f1-4ef3-9181-163efc8e0a07/resources-product/images/setup.png), then click **Setup**.
2. Enter Sharing in the Quick Find Box, then click **Sharing Settings**.
3. Click **Edit**.
4. Select **Public Read Only** as the Default External Access on the User object.
5. Click **Save**.
