# Which Version of NPSP Am I Using?

## Overview

Learn about the difference between version 2 and 3 of Nonprofit Success Pack.

NPSP starting with version number 3 is the current version of the NPSP product. If you have version 3.x installed, you automatically receive NPSP updates.

Note Even though you automatically receive updates, some new features require additional installation. See [Feature Configuration Overview](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.npsp_feat_config_overview.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "NPSP introduces many new features over time. If you aren't starting from a new Trial, you have to enable or configure those features before you can use them. And as an admin, you have control over what to implement in your org (and when).") for more information.

The previous version of NPSP, known as Nonprofit Starter Pack, requires a manual upgrade process to move to Nonprofit Success Pack.

## Determine Your NPSP Product

Steps for understanding how to determine which version of NPSP is installed.

1. From Setup, enter Installed Packages in the Quick Find box, then click **Installed Packages**.
2. Review the list of installed packages.

If you see Nonprofit Success Pack in the list of installed packages, you have the most up-to-date version of the NPSP Product.

If you don't have Nonprofit Success Pack installed, but see packages from Salesforce.org or Salesforce.com Foundation with Version Numbers starting with 1 or 2, you have the older product Nonprofit Starter Pack.
