# Set Fiscal Year Rollups

NPSP supports rollups and reports based on your organization's fiscal year, as long as you configure your fiscal year according to the instructions below.

## Configure Your Fiscal Year

Follow these steps to configure your fiscal year.

1. Click ![Setup](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-nonprofit_success_pack-264-0-0-production-enus/bd2879e2-2bdc-4012-aa32-dc0c697c4538/resources-product/images/setup.png), then click **Setup**.
2. From Setup, enter Fiscal Year in the Quick Find box, then select **Fiscal Year**.
3. Select the **Standard Fiscal Year** radio button.

    Important NPSP does not support Custom Fiscal Years. You must select Standard Fiscal Year for NPSP rollups and reports to work properly.
4. Select the **Fiscal Year Start Month** based on your organization's fiscal year.
5. In the **Fiscal Year is Based On** field, choose The ending month.

    Important NPSP requires that your fiscal year setting be based on the ending month so that rollups calculate correctly.

6. Click **Save**.

## Set Rollups Based on Fiscal Year

1. Click the **NPSP Settings** tab. If you don't see the tab, find it in the App Launcher (![App Launcher icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-nonprofit_success_pack-264-0-0-production-enus/bd2879e2-2bdc-4012-aa32-dc0c697c4538/resources-product/images/app_launcher_icon.png)).
2. Click ****Donations** | **Customizable Rollups**.**
3. Click **Configure Customizable Rollups**.
4. To use fiscal year for an existing rollup, in the row for the rollup, click the down arrow and then click **Edit**. To create a new rollup that will use fiscal year, click **New**.
5. Select the **Use Fiscal Year** checkbox.

    Note The **Use Fiscal Year** option only appears if the Operation field is set to Years Donated, Best Year, Best Year Total OR if the Time Frame field is set to Years Ago.

6. Click **Save.**

The rollup values update with the next nightly batch job.
