# Configure Your NPSP Organization

Learn about the required permissions, configuration, and post-install steps for setting up your NPSP organization.

Almost all Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) configuration is managed from the NPSP Settings tab. In NPSP Settings, you can change key NPSP behaviors, turn on NPSP features, run a system health check, and view error logs. System admins and users with a profile containing the necessary permissions can access the NPSP settings.
- **[Get Ready to Configure NPSP](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.npsp_get_ready_config.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Welcome to the Nonprofit Success Pack configuration articles! These articles contain the configuration instructions you need to complete after you install Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). There are also articles that teach you how to configure specific NPSP features, such as Engagement Plans, In-Kind Gifts, or Batch Data Import.
- **[Post Installation Configuration](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.npsp_post_install_config_steps.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Start here if you installed Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) on top of your existing Salesforce org.
- **[Required Configuration](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.npsp_required_config.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
If you installed Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) from the installer, perform these configuration steps to make NPSP function as intended.
- **[Recommended Configuration](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.npsp_recommended_config.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Once you have the NPSP basics set up, we recommend adding these configurations to help your users find information and create records more quickly and easily.
- **[Configure Accounts](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.npsp_configure_accounts.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Find out more about configuring accounts.

- **[Configure Error Handling](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.npsp_configure_error_handling.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
In Nonprofit Success Pack, when you enable error handling, errors are centrally trapped, collected, and stored in a single location based on your preferences.
