# Change My Account Model

The default account model for Nonprofit Success Pack is the Household Account model, which is the account model we strongly recommend. Only experienced Salesforce Administrators should consider changing an organization's account model.

Important If you have existing Contact information in Salesforce that you entered using one of the older account models, develop a migration plan before switching over to the Household Account model. For more information about our account model migration tool, see [Convert to the Nonprofit Success Pack Household Account Model](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.npsp_convert_to_household_acct_model.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "This guide is for users who upgraded to NPSP from a previous version and want to convert to the Household Account Model.").

To change your account model:

1. From App Launcher (![App Lancher](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-nonprofit_success_pack-264-0-0-production-enus/bd2879e2-2bdc-4012-aa32-dc0c697c4538/resources-product/images/app_launcher_icon.png)), find and select NPSP Settings.
2. Click **People** | **Account Model**.
3. Click **Edit**, and make your selection.
4. Click **Save**.
