# Test Score

The score on a section of a specific test or a composite score.

Relate a Test Score with a Test to track a prospective student's composite (overall) scores on tests like the SAT or GRE. Alternatively, track section-specific scores to assess student readiness for a post-high school education.

- **[Create a Test Score Record](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.k12_test_score.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Use these steps to create a test score record in K-12 Architecture Kit.

## Sample Uses for Test Score

Relate a Test Score with a Test to track a prospective student's composite (overall) scores on tests like the SAT or GRE. Alternatively, track section-specific scores to assess student readiness for a post-high school education.

For example, consider individually tracking the math, evidence-based reading, and writing scores of the SAT to determine which subjects students need more help preparing for.

## Configure Test Score

Keep the Test Score object up to date and add custom metadata.

### Keep Up with Test Score Updates

Consider these updates, depending on which version of

K-12 Architecture Kit

you originally installed:

### Add Custom Metadata to Test Score Records

With Custom Metadata Types, you can create your own setup objects whose records are metadata rather than data. You can add a definition of a test score that includes how the test is graded, the scoring range, and the passing value.

1. Click ![Setup](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-k12_architecture_kit-264-0-0-production-enus/aa53d0d1-adc5-4af6-adb8-c34704f68202/resources-product/images/setup.png), then click **Setup**.
2. In the Quick Find box, search for and select **Custom Metadata Types**.
3. Next to Test Score Definition, click **Manage Records**.
4. Enter the relevant information and click **Save**. Or click **Save & New** to create another Test Score Definition.

## Create a Test Score Record

Use these steps to create a test score record in K-12 Architecture Kit.

1. From the Test record related to this score, click **New** on the Test Scores related list.
2. Enter relevant details about this Test Score.
3. Click **Save**. Or, if you're creating multiple Test Score records, click **Save & New**.
