# Get Your Org Up to Speed

Apply certain changes manually to update your org.

GEM is updated frequently but certain types of configuration can’t be updated in existing orgs. If your version of GEM predates the release of these features and you want to use them, apply these changes manually.

## Update the GEM Data Import Layout

Add new fields from GAU Allocations and Opportunity Contact Roles to the GEM Gift Layout

If you enable Advanced Mapping for Gift Entry, several new fields for GAU Allocations and Opportunity Contact Roles (aka Soft Credits) are available out of the box. To ensure these additional fields are available in these tools, add them to the GEM Gift Layout on the NPSP Data Import object.

1. Click ![Setup](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-gift_entry_manager-264-0-0-production-enus/06e55002-f089-4a3e-bc0c-67a1c776fdd3/resources-product/images/setup.png), then click **Setup**.
2. Click the **Object Manager** tab.
3. Click NPSP Data Import.
4. Click **Page Layouts**, then click **NPSP Data Import Layout**.
5. You may want to create new sections on the page layout for:
    
    - GAU Allocation Information
    - Opportunity Contact Role Information
6. Drag these fields to the appropriate sections of the page layout.
    
    - GAU Allocation 1: Amount
    - GAU Allocation 1: GAU
    - GAU Allocation 1: Imported
    - GAU Allocation 1: Import Status
    - GAU Allocation 1: Percent
    - GAU Allocation 2: Amount
    - GAU Allocation 2: GAU
    - GAU Allocation 2: Imported
    - GAU Allocation 2: Import Status
    - GAU Allocation 2: Percent
    - Opportunity Contact Role 1: Imported
    - Opportunity Contact Role 1: Import Status
    - Opportunity Contact Role 1: Role
    - Opportunity Contact Role 2: Imported
    - Opportunity Contact Role 2: Import Status
    - Opportunity Contact Role 2: Role
