Before you begin, complete these tasks:

- To create and run Data Processing Engine definitions, [enable Data Pipelines](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.enable-data-pipelines.htm&language=en_US). The Data Processing Engine increases processing power and data manipulation.
- To set up Fundraising with DPE, clone the DonorGiftSummary, GiftDesignation, OutreachSummary, and Fundraising Account Actionable List templates and run them.
- Assign the Fundraising Access permission set to the Analytics Cloud Integration User.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter data processing, and then select **Data Processing Engine**.
2. From the Data Processing Engine Definitions list, open the DonorGift Summary template.
3. Click ![Show More](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-nonprofit_cloud-264-0-0-production-enus/b335b49f-b06d-4153-a454-da90077289d9/resources-product/images/show_actions.png) and select **Save As**.
4. Give a name to the new template and make sure that the API Name populates from the Name field.
5. Save the cloned template.
6. Click **Activate**.

By default, Salesforce recalculates your rollups nightly and you can customize the schedule in Data Processing Engine.
7. Click **Run Definition**, and click **Next**.
8. Enter the date values for the calendar input variables, and click **Next**.

    ![Note](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-nonprofit_cloud-264-0-0-production-enus/b335b49f-b06d-4153-a454-da90077289d9/images/icon_note.png)

Note For example: if you're setting up rollups in the year 2024, enter 1/1/2024 for This Year, 1/1/2023 for Last Year, and 1/1/2022 for Two Years Ago.
9. If you want to keep a record for troubleshooting, select **Show output record count for nodes**.

You can select up to 10 nodes to track.
10. Click **Run Definition**.
11. Similarly, clone the Gift Designation, Outreach Summary, and Fundraising Account Actionable List templates.

You can set up Flows to run the Data Processing Engine definitions automatically. To set up gift commitment rollup calculations, [schedule a gift commitment batch processing job](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.fundraising_schedule_gift_commitment_processing_batch_jobs.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Enter large volumes of gift commitments at one time to improve efficiency and data accuracy. Run batch jobs with a flow to update commitment records based on transactions, schedules, and other parameters.").
