    1. Specify a name for the transaction record.
    2. From Gift Type, select **Individual** or **Organizational/Household**.

        ![Note](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-nonprofit_cloud-264-0-0-production-enus/b335b49f-b06d-4153-a454-da90077289d9/images/icon_note.png)

Note For an Individual gift type, select a person account as the donor. For organizational/household, select a business account.
    4. Complete the payment information for the gift transaction. If you're logging this transaction days after receiving it, you can backdate the transaction to the date on the check or the date it was received.

        ![Note](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-nonprofit_cloud-264-0-0-production-enus/b335b49f-b06d-4153-a454-da90077289d9/images/icon_note.png)
