# Find the Release Version

Identify the current version and originally installed version of Education Data Architecture (EDA).

    Identify the version of the Education Data Architecture managed package in your org.

    Some new features require additional setup if you installed the product prior to a certain version or date. To figure out which version you started with, look in the Release Announcements group for the date of the major release announcement corresponding to your original installation date.

## Which Version Am I Using?

Identify the version of the Education Data Architecture managed package in your org.

1. Click ![Setup](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-education_data_architecture-264-0-0-production-enus/6bcf23e4-1d0f-4cd5-8405-b8e231f03ed0/resources-product/images/setup.png), then click **Setup**.
2. Enter Installed Packages in the Quick Find box, then click **Installed Packages**.
3. Find the Education Data Architecture package, then look at the **Version Number**.

## Which Version Was Originally Installed?

Some new features require additional setup if you installed the product prior to a certain version or date. To figure out which version you started with, look in the Release Announcements group for the date of the major release announcement corresponding to your original installation date.

1. Click ![Setup](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-education_data_architecture-264-0-0-production-enus/6bcf23e4-1d0f-4cd5-8405-b8e231f03ed0/resources-product/images/setup.png), then click **Setup**.
2. Enter Installed Packages in the Quick Find box, then click **Installed Packages.**
3. Click the **Education Data Architecture** package name.
4. On the package detail page, look in the Installed By field (1) for the date the package was first installed.

    Note Don't rely on the number in First Installed Version (2), which isn't necessarily correct.
5. Navigate to the [EDA Release Announcements](https://trailhead.salesforce.com/trailblazer-community/groups/0F94S000000kHOcSAM?tab=discussion&sort=LAST_MODIFIED_DATE_DESC) group.
6. Make sure the posts are sorted by Latest Posts instead of Most Recent Activity.
7. Scroll through the posts to find the version that was released closest to (but not after) your installation date, which is your first installed version.
