# Set Up Your Portal for Applications

Get your Education portal ready to accept and manage applications.

Configure your Education portal to display the New Application component, connect it to your data, and control how students move through the application process.

    After you create your Experience Cloud site, configure it to support dynamic applications.

    The New Application window shows up to four picklist fields, depending on your selections in the design attributes panel. Options in all picklists except Student are based on filtering the Program Term Application Timeline (PTAT) record.

Choose which application details and progress indicators appear on the Application Details and Application List components. Provide applicants the option to withdraw an application after submission.
