## Prerequisites for the Transfer Credit Stage

1. [Set up an education portal](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_set_up_an_education_portal.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Provide a tailored self-service site for a variety of learners with Experience Builder. Brand your portal and add ready-to-use or custom Lightning components, layouts, and themes.").
2. [Create supporting records for applications](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_create_supporting_records_for_applications.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create the required records for the application process in Education Cloud.").

## Configure the Transfer Credit Stage

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **OmniScripts**.
2. Select the Omniscript named TransferCreditWrapper, with the type EDUAdmissions.
3. Click **New Version**.
4. Click the **Transfer Credits** element.
5. Click the **transferCreditPageWrapper** element.
6. In the Custom LWC Properties panel, expand the Custom Lightning Web Component Properties section.
7. To make sure that each transfer credit type collects its corresponding document type, specify the property sources for their respective property names.

The Transfer Credit Application stage includes the Education, Examination, Military, Employment, and Other types by default. To locate the record ID of a document type, from Setup, find and select **Document Type**, and click a document type. Look for its ID in the URL. For example, if the Unofficial Transcript document type URL is https://my.demo.com/lightning/setup/DocumentType/page?address=%2F0deSG000001NGxx, the record type ID is 0deSG000001NGxx.

    1. Enter the ID of the Unofficial Transcript record type as the property source of educationDocumentTypeId.
    2. Enter the ID of the Unofficial Score Report record type as the property source of examinationDocumentTypeId.
    3. Enter the ID of the Unofficial Military Experience Document record type as the property source of militaryDocumentTypeId.
    4. Enter the ID of the Unofficial Work Verification Letter record type as the property source of employmentDocumentTypeId.
    5. Enter the ID of the Unofficial Prior Learning Document record type as the property source of otherDocumentTypeId.
8. To remove a transfer credit type from the application, find the property name `isTypeEnabled`, and then enter false as its property source.

For example, if your institution doesn't accept transfer credits from military experience, remove the Military type. Find isMilitaryEnabled, and enter false as the property source. Leave the instruction, document type record ID, and record type fields unchanged.
9. To further tailor the application experience, update these properties.

    - isEditMode: Controls whether the applicant can view or edit their transfer credit application. If applicants can edit application tasks, set the property source to true. If applicants can’t edit application tasks, set the property source to false. See [Configure Application Submission and Management Options for Applicants](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_set_up_your_portal_for_applications.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Get your Education portal ready to accept and manage applications.").
    - isAllVsSomeVisible: Shows or hides options to evaluate all or specific items. To render these options, isEditMode must be true.
    - allCoursesConsidered: Determines what appears when isAllVsSomeVisible is false. Customize this property to show either a message that all courses are considered or the **Add** button and table.
    - isTranscriptRequired: Controls whether the application requires at least one document that corresponds to the transfer credit type. For example, a transcript, score report, verification letter, or similar supporting document.
10. Click **Activate**.

## Create the Transfer Credit Stage for Dynamic Applications

1. Define the Transfer Credit Application stage. See the Define Your Application Stages section in [Set Up Your Application Stages](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_set_up_your_application_stages.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create application stage definition records to represent the different stages of your application, and copy and use Education Cloud Omniscripts and Flexcards to collect and show applicant information.").
2. Create an application render method for Transfer Credit. See the Create Application Render Method Records section in [Build Your Application](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_build_your_application.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create Application Render Method records and Application Render Method Assignment records to build your application. Application render method records identify the Omniscript or Flexcard used to collect or show information. Application Render Method Assignment records link Application Render Methods with Application Stage Definitions.").

For Method Record, select **Omni Process**, and then find and select the copy of the Omniscript that you previously created. For Method Type, select **Omniscript**.

Application render method records identify the Omniscript or Flexcard used to collect or show information. Application Render Method Assignment records link Application Render Methods with Application Stage Definitions.").

For Application Render Method, find and select the application render method that you created for Transfer Credit. For Application Component, select the application stage definition that you selected for Transfer Credit.
4. Create an action plan template, or select an existing one. See the Create an Action Plan Template section in [Create and Set Up an Action Plan Template for Applications](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_create_and_set_up_an_action_plan_template_for_applications.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create an action plan template to represent your application, add each application stage definition record as tasks to your action plan template, and assign the template to a Program Term Application Timeline record.").

See the Create Program Term Application Timeline Records section in [Create Supporting Records for Applications](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_create_supporting_records_for_applications.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create the required records for the application process in Education Cloud.").
7. Alternatively, add the action plan template that represents your application to an existing program term application timeline record. See the Assign Your Action Plan Template to a Program Term Application Timeline section in [Create and Set Up an Action Plan Template for Applications](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_create_and_set_up_an_action_plan_template_for_applications.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create an action plan template to represent your application, add each application stage definition record as tasks to your action plan template, and assign the template to a Program Term Application Timeline record.").
