Before you begin, [set up your org for transfer credits](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_set_up_org_for_transfer_credits.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure Education Cloud so learners can submit transfer credit requests and transcripts, and staff can review and process them."). That setup creates the Transfer Credit Request record type on the case object and the picklist values that the transfer credit application uses.

1. Clone the TransferCreditPetitionWrapper Omniscript to collect transfer credit request details from current students.
    1. From the App Launcher, find and select **OmniScripts**.
    2. Find and select the Omniscript named TransferCreditPetitionWrapper, with the type EDUAdmissions.
    3. Click **New Version** to clone the Omniscript.
2. In the cloned Omniscript, configure the Custom LWC Properties.
    1. Click the Transfer Credits element.
    2. Click the transferCreditPageWrapper element.
    3. In the Custom LWC Properties panel, expand the Custom Lightning Web Component Properties section.
    4. To make sure that each transfer credit type collects its corresponding document type, specify the property sources for their respective property names.

The Transfer Credit Application stage includes the Education, Examination, Military, Employment, and Other types by default. To locate the record ID of a document type, from Setup, find and select Document Type, and click a document type. Look for its ID in the URL. For example, if the Unofficial Transcript document type URL is https://my.demo.com/lightning/setup/DocumentType/page?address=%2F0deSG000001NGxx, the record type ID is 0deSG000001NGxx.

        1. Enter the ID of the Unofficial Transcript record type as the property source of educationDocumentTypeId.
        2. Enter the ID of the Unofficial Score Report record type as the property source of examinationDocumentTypeId.
        3. Enter the ID of the Unofficial Military Experience Document record type as the property source of militaryDocumentTypeId.
        4. Enter the ID of the Unofficial Work Verification Letter record type as the property source of employmentDocumentTypeId.
        5. Enter the ID of the Unofficial Prior Learning Document record type as the property source of otherDocumentTypeId.
    5. To remove a transfer credit type from the application, find the property name isTypeEnabled, and then enter false as its property source.

For example, if your institution doesn't accept transfer credits from military experience, remove the Military type. Find isMilitaryEnabled, and enter false as the property source. Leave the instruction, document type record ID, and record type fields unchanged.
    6. To further tailor the application experience, update these properties.

        - isEditMode: Controls whether the applicant can view or edit their transfer credit application. If applicants can edit application tasks, set the property source to true. If applicants can't edit application tasks, set the property source to false. The default value is true. See [Configure Application Submission and Management Options for Applicants](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_configure_edit_view_confirm_submit.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Build additional checkpoints and flexibility into the dynamic admissions application process. Give applicants the options to edit, view, confirm, sign, submit, and cancel their applications. Choose which application details and progress indicators appear on the Application Details and Application List components. Provide applicants the option to withdraw an application after submission.").
        - isAllVsSomeVisible: Shows or hides options to evaluate all or specific items. To render these options, set isEditMode to true.
        - allCoursesConsidered: Determines what appears when isAllVsSomeVisible is false. Customize this property to show either a message that all courses are considered or the Add button and table.
        - isTranscriptRequired: Controls whether the application requires at least one document that corresponds to the transfer credit type. For example, a transcript, score report, verification letter, or similar supporting document.
    7. Click **Activate**.
3. In Unified Catalog, create a service that uses your cloned Omniscript as its intake form.

When you define the intake form for the service, select your cloned TransferCreditPetitionWrapper Omniscript. See [Create a Service in Unified Catalog](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_create_service_unified_catalog.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use Unified Catalog to create a service request that you can tailor to your needs.").
4. Add the Unified Catalog component to your Experience Cloud site, and set its Record ID to the catalog that you created, so that current students submit transfer credit requests from the site.

See [Set Up Your Learner Portal with Petitions and Waivers Components](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_set_up_learner_portal_petitions_waivers_components.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use Experience Builder to add the petitions and waivers components to your learner portal, and then configure them.").
5. Add a Submitted value to the case status field so that current students track their transfer credit request.
    1. From Setup, click **Object Manager**, and then select **Case**.
    2. Click **Fields & Relationships**, and then click **Status**.
    3. Under Case Status Picklist Values, click **New**.
    4. Enter Submitted.
    5. For the record type, select the Transfer Credit Request record type.
    6. Save your changes.
6. Grant current students access to the case and course credit transfer application records that the transfer credit application uses.
    1. Clone the Education Cloud for Experience Cloud Access permission set, and grant access to the case and course credit transfer application objects and their fields, as described in the portal permissions step of [Set Up Your Org for Transfer Credits](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_set_up_org_for_transfer_credits.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure Education Cloud so learners can submit transfer credit requests and transcripts, and staff can review and process them.").
    2. Assign your cloned permission set to the current students who request transfer credit from the site.

Each request creates a transfer credit case and the related course credit transfer application records.
