# Set Up the Education Analytics App

Configure Education Analytics in Education Cloud to monitor institutional health and get insights from dashboards and key performance indicators.

## Prerequisites

- Enable all Education Cloud dependent features. See [Set Up Common Features That Extend Education Cloud](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_set_up_common_features.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Turn on features that support the capabilities your institution needs to streamline workflows, personalize engagement, and drive better outcomes.").
- Assign Request for Information (RFI) to the case object as a record type.

## Configure Education Analytics

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Set Up Education Cloud, and then select **Set Up Education Cloud**.
2. Under Set Up the Education Analytics App, click **Configure Education Analytics**.
3. To assign administrator permissions, under Set Up Permissions, click **Assign Permission Set**.
    1. From the list of permissions, click **CRM Analytics for Education Admin**.
    2. Click **Manage Assignments**, and then click **Add Assignments**.
    3. Select the user, click **Assign**, and then click **Done**.
4. Under Set Up CRM Analytics, click **Set Up**, and then click **Enable CRM Analytics**.
    1. Under Set Up CRM Analytics, click **Assign Permission Set**.
    2. From the list of permissions, click **Education Cloud Full Access**.
    3. Click **Manage Assignments**, and then click **Add Assignments**.
    4. From the list of users, click the user with the Analytics Cloud Integration User profile.
    5. Click **Assign**, and then click **Done**.
5. Under Set Up Education Analytics, click **Enable**. The app installation might take some time. For information on how to view the status of your request, see [Auto-Install Requests](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleview?id=analytics.bi_auto_install_requests.htm&type=5).
6. Under Set Up Access to Analytics, assign permissions sets to additional users to view or manage analytics.

## Refresh Analytics Data

Schedule a refresh of the Education Analytics app to make sure that your app uses the latest data. See [Schedule Data Refresh for a CRM Analytics Template](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleview?language=en_us&id=sf.bi_templates_schedule_dataflow.htm&type=5).

To manually trigger an instant data refresh:

1. From App Launcher, find and select **Analytics Studio**.
2. Under Collections, click **Data Manager**.
3. Click **Connections**, click the dropdown for SFDC\_LOCAL, and then select **Run Now**.
4. Click Recipes, and then find and run these recipes.
    - Education App Education Analytics
    - Education App Education Analytics User
    - Education\_Analytics Education Analytics SS
    - Education\_Analytics Education - Alumni Engagement
5. To view the status of the jobs, click **Jobs Monitor**, and then click **Refresh**.
