# Set Up My Appointments Header

Set up the My Appointments Header Lightning web component on your learner portal so students can schedule appointments.

Before you begin, set field-level security access to the fields that are necessary for portal users to book appointments. See [Set Field-Level Security for Portal Users](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_update_portal_user_perms_appt.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create a permission set that gives portal users read and edit access to the fields that they need to book appointments.").

1. [Set up Salesforce Scheduler for Education Cloud](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_set_up_scheduler.htm&language=en_US).
2. Set up My Appointments Header on your learner portal:
    1. In Setup, find and select **All Sites**.
    2. Create or select a site. See [Set Up an Education Portal](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_set_up_an_education_portal.htm&language=en_US).
    3. Click **Components**, and then drag My Appointments Header to your preferred location on the page.
    4. Apply other customizations as necessary, then preview and publish the site. See [Customize Sites with Experience Builder](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=experience.community_designer_overview.htm&language=en_US).
3. If present, select the My Appointments component and delete it.
