# Set Up Mentoring Facilitators

Create a permission set and set sharing rules to provide mentoring facilitators with the access that they need to support your mentoring program.

## Create Permission Set for Mentoring Facilitators

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select **Permission Sets**.
2. In Education Cloud Full Access permission set, click **Clone**.
3. Enter a label and an API name for your mentoring facilitator permission set.
4. Save your changes.
5. Click your mentoring facilitator permission set.
6. Click **App Permissions**.
7. Click **Edit**, select **Run Flows**, and then save your changes.
8. Click **Permission Set Overview**, and then click **Object Settings**.
9. Click **Action Plans**, and then click **Edit**.
10. From Object Permissions, select **View All Records**.
11. Save your changes.
12. Similarly, set permissions for these objects.
    
    - Assessment
    - Assessment Question
    - Assessment Question Set
    - Benefit Type
    - Constituent Role
    - Program
    - Provider Offering
    - Unit of Measure

Assign the new permission set to your mentoring facilitator public group.

## Create a Public Group for Mentoring Facilitators

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Public Groups, and then select **Public Groups**.
2. Click **New**.
3. Enter a label, such as Mentoring Facilitator.
4. From the Available Members list, select the members who you want to assign to the group, and then move them to the Selected Members list.
5. Save your changes.

## Create Sharing Rules for the Mentoring Facilitator

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Sharing Settings, and then select **Sharing Settings**.
2. For Program Enrollment Sharing Rules, click **New**.
3. In Label, enter Active Program Enrollment Sharing. Press Tab to automatically fill the Rule Name field.
4. Select **Based on criteria** as the rule type.
5. For criteria, set these values.
    
    1. From Field, select **Is Active**.
    2. From Operator, select **equals**.
    3. From Value, select **True**.
6. From Share with, select **Public Groups**, and then select your mentoring facilitators public group.
7. From Access Level, select **Read/Write**.
8. Save your changes.
9. For Benefit Assignment Sharing Rules, click **New**.
10. In Label, enter Benefit Assignment Mentoring. Press Tab to automatically fill the Rule Name field.
11. Select **Based on criteria** as the rule type.
12. For Criteria, set these values.
    
    1. From Field, select **Status**.
    2. From Operator, select **equals**.
    3. From Value, select the status fields.
13. From Share with, select **Public Groups**, and then select your mentoring facilitators public group.
14. From Access Level, select **Read/Write**.
15. Save your changes.
16. For Benefit Type Sharing Rules, click **New**.
17. In Label, enter Benefit Type Mentoring. Press Tab to automatically fill the Rule Name field.
18. Select **Based on criteria** as the rule type.
19. For Criteria, set these values.
    
    1. From Field, select **Status**.
    2. From Operator, select **equals**.
    3. From Value, select the status fields.
20. From Share with, select **Public Groups**, and then select your mentoring facilitators public group.
21. From Access Level, select **Read/Write**.
22. Save your changes.
23. For Document Clause Sharing Rules, click **New**.
24. For Label, enter Document Clause Mentoring. Press Tab to automatically fill the Rule Name field.
25. Select **Based on criteria** as the rule type.
26. For Criteria, set these values.
    
    1. From Field, select **Status**.
    2. From Operator, select **equals**.
    3. From Value, select the status fields.
27. From Share with, select **Public Groups**, and then select your mentoring facilitators public group.
28. From Access Level, select **Read/Write**.
29. Save your changes.
