# Set Up Individual Application in Education Cloud

To store the preferences of an applicant during enrollment, set up the individual application object in Education Cloud.

1. From the object management settings for individual applications, go to Record Types.
2. Click **New**.
3. Enter the label and name for the record type.
4. Select **Active**.
5. Select the profiles that require access to the record type.
6. Select the page layout for the record type, and then save your changes.
7. Similarly, create additional record types as needed.
