# Set Up the Education Proxy Portal

Create and activate an Education Proxy Portal, assign proxy profiles, and then configure the portal to support delegated access. Support proxy scenarios across all educational levels. In K-12, parents can manage households, applications, and student information, while in higher education, designated proxies can securely access records and perform tasks that students delegate.

Note To create an Experience Cloud site, first enable Digital Experiences for your org and register the domain. See [Enable Digital Experiences](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=experience.networks_enable.htm&language=en_US). You’re also a site member, either as a Salesforce admin or as an Experience admin, publisher, or builder.

To set up the proxy portal for delegated access:

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, find and select **All Sites** under Digital Experiences.
2. On the Digital Experiences page, click **New**.
3. On the Lightning Experience guided flow, choose the **Education Proxy Portal** template.

To develop a custom site, select **Build Your Own**.
4. Click **Get Started**.
5. Enter a site name, and then click **Create**.
6. Click **Administration**.
7. Click **Members**.
8. Add your proxy profiles to the Selected Profiles section.
9. Click **Settings**.
10. Click **Activate**, and then confirm the activation.
11. Apply additional customizations as required, then preview and publish the site. See [Customize Sites with Experience Builder](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=experience.community_designer_overview.htm&language=en_US).

If errors occur when you create an Experience Cloud site, verify that these Apex classes are available in your org. To see your Apex classes, from Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Apex Classes, and then select **Apex Classes**.

- `SiteLoginController`
- `SiteLoginControllerTest`
- `SiteRegisterController`
- `SiteRegisterControllerTest`

If your org doesn't have the required Apex classes, retrieve the missing classes from another org, such as a sandbox, and then deploy them to your org. See [Choose Your Tools for Developing and Deploying Changes](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.code_tools_ant.htm&language=en_US).

- **[Configure Proxy Self-Registration](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_configure_proxy_self_registration.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Set up your proxy portal so that when a student adds a proxy, the proxy self-registers. Setup includes enabling standard external profiles, configuring the registration page, and creating email templates. Registered proxies join your Experience Cloud site directly from the login page.
