The campus preferences feature uses several Omnistudio components that work together to show applicants a list of campuses, capture their selections, and save the data to the application:

- **EDUAdmissions\_CampusPref\_English\_1 Omniscript**: The container that an applicant sees during the campus selection stage of the application.
- **EDUAdmissionsCampusPref Flexcard**: Shows the Campus Selector Lightning web component, which displays the list of available campuses.
- **EDUAdmissionsCampusPrefSequencer Flexcard**: Shows the Campus Selector Sequencer Lightning web component, which lets applicants rank their selected campuses.
- **EDUAdmissionsGetCampusPref Data Mapper**: Retrieves the list of campuses to display. The data mapper queries educational institution offering records that are active and associated with the application's program term application timeline. The data mapper returns the linked educational institution account name and ID for each offering.
- **EDUAdmissionsSaveCampusPref Data Mapper**: Saves the applicant's ranked campus selections as individual application task item records related to the application's individual application task.

Before you clone and activate these components, you set up the data that determines which campuses appear in the application portal. The portal reads from educational institution offering records, which link an educational institution account to a program term application timeline. The educational institution account represents the campus, and the program term application timeline represents the program a student is applying to.

The application portal uses these offering records to show applicants only the campuses that offer the program they're applying to. For example, when an applicant applies to a nursing program, only the campuses that offer nursing appear in the list of options.

Your educational institution account records can include both your own campuses and external schools that you do business with. An offering record is what makes one of your campuses appear as an option in the application portal.

Note The campus preferences feature includes the applicant-facing components only. To display campus preferences data to internal reviewers, build a custom Flexcard and create a matching application render method record and application render method assignment for the internal review pages.

1. Create one educational institution account record for each campus that you want to appear as an option in the application portal.

If the account already exists in Salesforce, you can skip this step.

    1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Accounts**.
    2. Click **New**, and then select an account record type that matches your campus, such as Secondary School or College.
    3. Enter the campus details, and save your changes. Repeat for each campus.
2. Create one educational institution offering record for each campus that applicants can rank for a specific program.

Each offering record links an educational institution account to a program term application timeline.

    1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Educational Institution Offerings**.
    2. Click **New**.
    3. For Educational Institution Account, search for and select the campus's account.
    4. For Program Term Application Timeline, search for and select the application timeline for the program that the campus is associated with.
    5. Select **Active**.
    6. Save your changes. Repeat for each campus and program combination.
3. Share each campus's educational institution account record with portal users.

Portal users can select a campus only if its account record is shared with them. Use manual sharing or sharing rules to grant portal users access. If a campus's account isn't shared, applicants don't see the campus in the Select Campuses window even when an active educational institution offering record exists. See [Sharing Rules](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.sharing_rules_overview.htm&language=en_US).
4. Clone and activate the EDUAdmissions\_CampusPref\_English\_1 Omniscript that displays the Flexcards and Lightning web components for the campus preferences feature.
    1. From the App Launcher, find and select **OmniScripts**.
    2. Expand **EDUAdmissions\_CampusPref\_English\_1**, and click the version that you want to copy.
    3. Click **New Version**.
    4. Save your changes.
    5. Activate your Omniscript.
5. Clone and activate the EDUAdmissionsCampusPref Flexcard that shows the Campus Selector Lightning web component.
    1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Omnistudio Flexcards**.
    2. Expand **EDUAdmissionsCampusPref**, and click the version that you want to copy.
    3. Click **Clone**.
    4. Update the name, and then click **Clone**.
    5. Click **Activate**.
6. Similarly, clone and activate the EDUAdmissionsCampusPrefSequencer Flexcard that shows the Campus Selector Sequencer Lightning web component.
7. Clone and activate the EDUAdmissionsGetCampusPref Data Mapper that gets the school or campus records to appear in the Select Campuses view.
    1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Omnistudio Data Mappers**.
    2. Click **EDUAdmissionsGetCampusPref**.
    3. Click **Clone**.
    4. Update the name, and then save your changes.
    5. Click **Activate**.
8. Similarly, clone and activate the EDUAdmissionsSaveCampusPref Data Mapper that saves the selected schools or campus records.
9. Create an application render method record that references your cloned copy of the EDUAdmissions\_CampusPref\_English\_1 Omniscript.

See [Connect Rubrics to Applications](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_connect_rubrics_to_applications.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create configuration records to represent your application review and connect it to the Omniscripts that you use to score applications in Education Cloud.").
10. Expose the campus preferences feature to applicants by creating an application stage definition record and other dynamic application records.

11. Create a custom Omnistudio Flexcard to display campus preferences data to internal reviewers, and create an application render method record and application render method assignment for that Flexcard.

The applicant-facing components save the selected campuses to individual application task item records related to each application. Because the campus preferences feature includes only the applicant-facing components, the internal review experience is something that you build to match your own admissions process.

After setup is complete, applicants can search for and select campuses during the campus preferences stage of the application, and then rank their selections in order of preference.

When an applicant submits their campus selections, each ranked campus is saved as an individual application task item record related to the application's individual application task. Each record links the task to the campus's account ID. Reviewers and internal users can access preference data through these records. To use this data in custom queries or reporting, query the individual application task item records and use the account ID to look up the related educational institution account.
