# Enable Learners to Schedule Appointments Via Self-Service

Configure learners as Experience Cloud users to grant them access to a preconfigured self-service portal to schedule appointments, on desktop or mobile. When learners and staff log in to the portal, they get a comprehensive view of their schedule, and see their past and upcoming appointments. From that portal, they can choose topics, time slots, appointment channels, and teams or team members for appointments. If you configure video calls with AWS Chime, learners can also start virtual appointments directly from there.

**Where**: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Performance, Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions where the Education Cloud license is enabled.

**Who**: Only users with the Education Cloud Objects and Components permission set can configure appointment data for the learners portal. Only users with the Education Cloud for Experience Cloud Access permission set can access the portal.

**How**:

- Set up all appointment data using Education Cloud objects.
- To add users to the learners portal, go to the All Sites page in Setup.
- To grant learners access to their appointment records, go to the Settings page under Digital Experiences in Setup.
- To create your own portal on Experience Cloud instead of using the preconfigured one, go to the All Sites page in Setup.
