## Create a Transfer Credit Request

An applicant creates a course credit transfer application for requests and decisions at a course, degree, or experience level. The course credit transfer application includes potential transfer courses, approved learning equivalencies, and verified external learning participant results from a transcript.

The registrar manages the application. The course credit transfer application also opens a case for the registrar, initiating the administrative process at a college, experience, or transcript level.

A transfer credit request uses these objects.

- Case

Represents administrative requests and holds all the information submitted by applicants.
- Course Credit Transfer Application

A request to get academic credit for courses taken at another institution applied to your current degree.

## Recognize Prior Learning

Learning represents information about a curriculum that you can make available to a contact as a course, program, or on-site experience. A registrar recognizes an external learning, which can be a course, exam, or experience to capture key details. This builds a knowledge base of potential transfer credits for future evaluation.

The prior learning uses these objects.

- Learning

Information that defines a curriculum that can be made available as a course, program, or on-site experience for a contact.
- External Learning

Defines a training that is made available by an external provider as a course, program, or on-site experience.

## Define Equivalencies

A registrar creates an equivalency rule that maps an external course to a course at the connected campus. All applicants from that college automatically receive the correct credit.

An equivalency uses these objects.

- Learning Equivalency

The details of the equivalency between external and internal learnings.
- Learning Equivalency Achievement Mapping

The mapping between a learning equivalency, a source achievement group, and a target achievement group.

## Verify Transcripts and Suggest Credits

The registrar evaluates the official transcript for course, experience, or exam information. They can then automatically map it to the course credit transfer application records.
