# Education Cloud Org Configuration with AI Tools

A guided session sets up a foundation for your Education Cloud org. Describe your institution's goals to a coding agent. The agent analyzes your org and turns on domain features that meet your priorities, such as Student Success, Academic Operations, or Recruitment and Admissions.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col style="width:100%"></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Lightning Experience</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Enterprise</strong>, <strong>Performance</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and <strong>Developer</strong> Editions with Education Cloud</td></tr></tbody></table>

## Scenario

A Salesforce admin at your institution wants to lay a foundation for Education Cloud teams by turning on the right domains and dependent features. To accomplish that without navigating multiple complex setup steps manually, the admin connects a coding agent to the Headless 360 MCP Server (Beta) and describes the institution's priorities. The coding agent evaluates org settings, explains features, and turns on the selected domains with admin approval. It then lists any remaining manual setup steps.

Note Headless 360 MCP Server is a beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at [Agreements - Salesforce.com](https://www.salesforce.com/company/legal/agreements/) or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the [Product Terms Directory](https://ptd.salesforce.com/). Use of this beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion. For more information, see [Headless 360 MCP Server (Beta)](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/hosted-mcp-servers/guide/headless-360-mcp.html).

## Requirements

- Education Cloud Full Access permission set. The agent checks for and assigns the required permission sets based on your privileges, so it never grants access that you don't have.
- A coding agent, such as Agentforce Vibes or Claude Code, connected to the Headless 360 MCP Server (Beta) with access to Education Cloud setup skills. For Agentforce Vibes, no installation is required. Agentforce Vibes installs, enables, and updates AI Skills automatically. You can manage them from the Skills page, under Toolkit, in Agentforce Vibes. For Claude Code, install the [Salesforce Development plugin](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/salesforce-skills-plugins/guide/overview.html), which provides Salesforce-specific skills and org context through hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.

## Suggested Technology and Experience

Recommended for Salesforce admins who are comfortable with Setup and with running a coding agent against a connected org. No prior experience with a specific skill is required.

## Agentic Tips

- Describe your goal in your own words. For example:
    - "Set up Education Cloud for our student success team."
    - "I want to configure Recruitment and Admissions and Academic Operations for our college."
    - "What Education Cloud features do I need to support advising and care plans?"
- Have the agent explain before it acts. The agent describes what each feature does and lists a domain's sub-features. You decide which to include before anything changes.
- Approve each change. The agent pauses for your confirmation before configuring a feature. Read operations require no approval, but setup and configuration do.
- Avoid pasting credentials into a prompt. The agent acts as your authenticated user through the connected org.

## Design Considerations

- Some actions are irreversible. For example, when you turn on the Education Cloud foundation, Person Accounts, and domains, they can't be turned off. The agent alerts you before each of these steps and turns them on only after you confirm.
- Person Accounts requires manual setup. The agent tells you when to perform this step in Setup and verifies it afterward.
- Some dependent features require manual configuration. The agent configures automated features and lists any manual follow-up tasks in the summary.
- The agent configures native Education Cloud features. It doesn't create custom objects or fields, deploy packages, or migrate data.

## Set Up Agentforce Education with a Coding Agent

Describe your institution's priorities to a coding agent to turn on the right Education Cloud domains and features.

Then, configure Agentforce Education.

1. Describe which domains or capabilities you want to set up.
2. Review the report as the agent checks your org's edition, license, and current settings.
3. Approve turning on the Education Cloud foundation, and confirm any irreversible steps when prompted.
4. When prompted by the agent, turn on Person Accounts in Setup, and then have the agent verify the change.
5. Select which domains and dependent features to turn on from the agent's list.
6. Approve each feature and verify the confirmation.
7. Complete any manual follow-up steps reported in the agent's summary.
