# Enable Salesforce Scheduler for Education Cloud

Before you set up the appointment feature, turn on Salesforce Scheduler for Education Cloud.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Salesforce Scheduler Settings, and then select **Salesforce Scheduler Settings**.
2. Find and turn on:
    
    - **Event Management**
    - **Resource Appointment Sharing**
    - **Multiple Topics for Shifts** - If you already use Salesforce Scheduler, complete these [prerequisites](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_prereqs_multiple_topics_for_shifts.htm&type=5&language=en_US) before you turn on this setting.
    - **Schedule Appointments Using Engagement Channels**

    Note You don't have to turn on the Drop In Appointment setting to configure drop-in availability. This setting is required only for [waitlists](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleview?id=platform.ls_lobby_management_for_drop_in_appointments.htm&type=5).
3. Click **Enable** in the confirmation window.
