# Turn On Person Accounts

Set up person accounts to represent individual students, staff, applicants, alumni, and other users in Education Cloud.

In Education Cloud, data about individual people, such as students, faculty, alumni, and external contacts, is stored in the Account object as Person Accounts. Person Accounts combine account and contact information into a single record.
