# Create Person Affinities

Create a list of student affinities in Education Cloud to reflect their past and current interests.

### Required Editions

Before you begin:

- [Set Up Your Org for Career Planning and Life Goals](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ec_set_up_org_for_career_planning_and_life_goals.htm&language=en_US)
- Define values for the Category, Sub Category, and Source picklists in the Person Affinity object using the Object Manager. By default, these picklists have no values.

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Person Affinities**.
2. Click **New**.
3. Enter a name and a description.
4. Select a contact associated with the person affinity.
5. Select the type of the person affinity.
6. Select the category and sub category of the person affinity.
7. Select the information source of the person affinity.
8. Select whether the person affinity is active or not.
9. Save your changes.
