# Assign Learner Programs to Learners

In order to have requirements show up in the requirements panel, the learner must have a learner program associated with them, and that learner program must have learner program requirements.

After you create a learner program, you can create learner program requirements to associate with it from the Related tab.

1. In the App Launcher, enter Learner, and then select **Learner Programs**.
2. Click **New**.
3. Populate at least the Name, Learning Program Plan, and Learner Contact fields for the Learner Program you want to create.
4. Save your changes.
5. In the Related tab’s Learner Program Requirements section, click **New**.
6. Enter details for the new learner program requirement.
7. Click **Save**.
8. Repeat steps 5-7 for each learner program requirement you want to associate with the learner program.
