# Customize Process Builder Automation

Update process builder automation included in Case Management.

## Customize Naming for Program Engagements and Service Deliveries

Include relevant terms, or exclude unnecessary ones from the default names of program engagements and service deliveries.

## Customize Program Engagement Naming

When a user creates a Program Engagement, its name follows the format `Contact Name Start Date: Program Name` unless otherwise specified. For Program Engagements without Contacts, the default naming format is `Anonymous Start Date: Program Name`.

You may want to customize your Program Engagement naming. Here are some examples.

- If the majority of your Program Engagements don't include Contacts, omit the word “Anonymous” from the automated Program Engagement name. For example, rather than `Anonymous 2020-06-17: Hygiene Kits`, the Program Engagement name could be `2020-06-17: Hygiene Kits`.
- If the majority of your Program Engagements reference the Account object, include the Account name in the automated Program Engagement name. For example, if your organization provides services to households, schools, or other nonprofits, your Program Engagements should include the Account name, such as `California Nonprofit Association 2020-06-17: DEI Coaching`.
- If the majority of your Program Engagements reference a custom object, include the custom object name in the automated Program Engagement name. For example, if you work with a nonprofit organization that provides spay and neuter services for pets tracked in a custom object called Pets, you might have a Program Engagement named `Buck 2020-07-10: Neuter`.

To customize Program Engagement automated naming:

1. Click ![Setup gear icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-case_management-264-0-0-production-enus/4bf5cafc-4c98-4543-b5bf-3b2a6d34e498/resources-product/images/setup_gear_icon_1.png), then click **Setup**.
2. Enter Process Builder in the Quick Find box, then click **Process Builder**.
3. Click ![Chevron icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-case_management-264-0-0-production-enus/4bf5cafc-4c98-4543-b5bf-3b2a6d34e498/resources-product/images/chevron.png) to expand **Template: Program Engagement Object**.
4. Click the Active version of the Template.
5. Click **Clone**.
    
    - Select **A new process**.
    - Name the process and optionally provide a description.
    - Click **Save**.
6. Next to the Update Name step, under Immediate Actions, click **Update Name**, then:
    
    - To omit the word “Anonymous” from Program Engagements without Contacts, copy the code from [Customize Program Engagement Naming](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.cm_cust_process_builder_automation.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "When a user creates a Program Engagement, its name follows the format Contact Name Start Date: Program Name unless otherwise specified. For Program Engagements without Contacts, the default naming format is Anonymous Start Date: Program Name."), paste it in the **Value** field.
    - To include the Account name, copy the sample code from [Add Account or Custom Object To Auto-Naming](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.cm_cust_process_builder_automation.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5), paste it in the **Value** field.
    - To include a custom object name, copy the sample code from [Add Account or Custom Object To Auto-Naming](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.cm_cust_process_builder_automation.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5), paste it in the **Value** field, and customize it to reflect your custom object.
7. Click **Use this Formula**.
8. Click **Save**.
9. Click **Activate** to enable the change.

### Remove "Anonymous" From Auto-Naming

To remove the word “Anonymous” from Program Engagements without Contacts, follow the instructions above, and copy and paste this code in the **Value** field, customizing as needed.

### Add Account or Custom Object To Auto-Naming

To include an Account or custom object in Program Engagement naming, follow the instructions above and copy and paste this code in the **Value** field, customizing as needed. If you're referencing a custom object, be sure to update this code for the custom object.

## Customize Service Delivery Naming

When a user creates a Service Delivery, its name follows the format `Contact Name Start Date: Service` unless otherwise specified.

If the default naming works for your organization, no further customization is needed. However, you may want to customize your Service Delivery naming.

1. Click ![Setup gear icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-case_management-264-0-0-production-enus/4bf5cafc-4c98-4543-b5bf-3b2a6d34e498/resources-product/images/setup.png), then click **Setup**.
2. Enter Process Builder in the Quick Find box, then click Process Builder.
3. Click ![Chevron icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-case_management-264-0-0-production-enus/4bf5cafc-4c98-4543-b5bf-3b2a6d34e498/resources-product/images/chevron.png) to expand the Template: Service Delivery Object.
4. Click the Active version of the Template.
5. Click **Clone**.
    
    - Select **A new process**.
    - Name the process and optionally provide a description.
    - Click **Save**.
6. Next to the AutoName step, under Immediate Actions, click **UpdateServiceDelivery**.

7. Paste your formula in the **Value** field.
8. Click **Use this Formula**.
9. Click **Save**.
10. Click **Activate**.
