# Export Accounting Data With the Report Builder

After the transaction journal records are ready, create a report with this data, and export it as a comma-separated values (CSV) file. Then, import that file into your accounting system.

## Create a Transaction Journal Report

1. On the Reports tab, click **New Report**.
2. Select the **Transaction Journals** report type, and then click **Start Report**.
3. The report opens in edit mode, and shows a preview. Customize your report until it shows the data that you need.
4. Click **Save**, and then enter a report name.
5. Save your changes.
6. To view the report results, click **Run**.

## Export a Transaction Journal Report

1. On the Reports tab, next to the report to export, click ![Show Actions icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sfdo-accounting_subledger-264-0-0-production-enus/157531ff-70d1-4f66-a3f6-8bad55ae5e5d/resources-product/images/show_more_actions_icon.png), and then select **Export**.
2. Click **Details Only**, and then select the **Comma Delimited .csv** format.
3. Select an encoding, and then click **Export**.
4. If prompted by a browser dialog, select a location and save the file.
