# Admissions Connect Release Notes

Learn what's in Admissions Connect (version 1.18) in Spring '23.

- **[Critical Changes](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.admissions_connect_release_notes_242.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Beginning March 14, 2023, Admission Connect customers will receive license entitlements to the features of the new Education Cloud product in their Salesforce org. You can't use Education Cloud alongside Admissions Connect in your org, but Education Cloud includes some capabilities that work with Admissions Connect, such as OmniStudio, Business Rules Engine, and more. Do not enable the new Education Cloud data model or Person Accounts in a production instance that has Admissions Connect implemented. This is not a supported configuration and might cause undesired behavior in your instance. Check with your Salesforce admin for more information.

See [Education Cloud Release Notes](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.education_cloud_release_notes_242.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Spring ‘23 brings you the next-generation CRM for education. Education Cloud draws on the power of Salesforce to connect insights across recruitment, admissions, and student success for a unified view of every learner's journey. A single source of truth creates a complete student profile, so your institution can offer personalized experiences that translate into successful lifetime learners—from prospective student to engaged alum. With Salesforce at the center of your institution's information technology solution, important tasks can be completed in less time, at scale, and in collaboration between departments. Create an Experience Cloud site to be your institution's learner portal where students start their higher education journey. From this site, prospective students can request information, schedule appointments, and apply to your institution. After a student submits their application, your admissions staff can verify, review, and decide on the application in the individual application record.").

## Changes

Review the fixes and minor enhancements in Admissions Connect (version 1.18) in Spring '23.

- We fixed a bug that caused the Application Checklist Required Item Progress Bar to recalculate to 100% complete when a user uploads a document for an Action Plan Item that's not required.
- We fixed a bug that was preventing Tasks records from being created when sending emails to a Contact.
