# Learn About the Verifier and Reviewer Experience

Help verifiers and reviewers stay efficient and focused, and concentrate on what matters most—applicants and their dreams.

Folders and documents for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That’s the world of applications. The Admissions Connect app is a Lightning console app that provides tab-based navigation and a split screen to help admissions staff quickly access their list views.

Let’s follow along with a typical day for a verifier and a reviewer.

Henson Bell University has a small admissions team that’s often overloaded. Victor helps the team verify applications, and Regina reviews them. Before Admissions Connect, the team was tracking applications using manila folders and paper checklists. Their process was entirely manual, including walking stacks of folders down hallways. Now, everything is tracked in the Admissions Connect app.

Victor starts his day looking at a list view of new applications. From the list, he can quickly see what applications he needs to verify. On the Application record, he sees a list of requirements and the progress towards completion. He can preview documents, approve them, email an applicant, and open the next application to verify—all without leaving the page. For detailed information about the tasks you can complete from the Application record, see [Verify Applications](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ac_staff_application_verify.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "When you verify an application, you check for overall completeness, looking at the data and documents provided by the applicant. You’ll probably look at transcripts, letters of recommendation, and more. Use an Applications list view as your starting point, then open individual application records. You can use the default All list view, one created by your admissions team, or one that you created. as your starting point, then open individual application records. You can use the default All list view, one created by your admissions team, or one that you created.").

Now the applications are ready for Regina to review. From her list view, she sees what she needs to review today. On the Application Review record she can see a navigation panel with the list of requirements. She scrolls through the application and reviews all the requirements, without clicking, thanks to a single scrollable view. She can also see a list of other reviewers assigned to the application. Regina leaves comments and makes her admissions recommendation, all without leaving the page. For detailed information about the tasks you can complete from the Application Review record, see [Review Applications](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ac_staff_application_review.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "When you review an application, you make an admissions recommendation and leave supporting comments. Use a list view as your starting point, either for Applications or Application Reviews. You can use the default My Application Reviews list view, one created by your admissions team, or one that you created.").

Tip You can also create a reviewer portal for external reviewers, like alumni or business leaders, that don’t need full access to the Admissions Connect app because they don’t work with other Salesforce records. For more details, see [Learn About Admissions Connect Portals](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.ac_portal_learn.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Portals, also called Experience Cloud sites or Communities, are a great way to give users access to just what they need in an easy-to-use web page. For example, you can limit access for some application reviewers, like external users who are alumni, because they don’t need access to Cases, Opportunities, and other Salesforce records. Or maybe you want to create an applicant portal to let applicants view, edit, and submit their Application.").
