The scheduling method on an appointment sets which experience you get:

- On-site: the customer travels to one of your branches
- Field: a service resource travels to the customer

One scheduling flow covers both on-site and field appointments: you enter the appointment details, select a time, and review the appointment before you confirm it. For both types of appointments, service territories define the locations. For on-site appointments, they define the branch or location that a customer comes to. For field appointments, they define the area in which service resources service customers. For field appointments, depending on the flow configuration, the address is entered manually or selected automatically. By default, you must manually enter the address. Each service territory is linked to an associated operating hours record.
