Optimization services with different travel modes enhance predictive travel by providing more accurate travel time predictions and improving the completion rate of service appointments. By leveraging different types of travel modes, admins define the travel mode per territory, per primary service territory member, or both, to reflect transportation type (car, light truck, heavy truck, bicycle, or walking), the use of toll roads, and hazmat considerations.

Travel mode can’t be assigned to a secondary service territory member.

All Limits and Limitations for Scheduling and Optimization apply to travel modes.

Configure your Travel Modes settings.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Object Manager, and then select **Object Manager**. Next, click **Service Territory** or **Service Territory Member**, and then scroll to the Page Layouts section.
2. Click **Page Layouts**, and then click **WFS Service Territory Layout** or **WFS Service Territory Member Layout**.
3. Click **Edit**, drag the **Travel Modes** field to the page layout, and then save your changes.
