| Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions |
Before you begin
- Set up and activate an Experience Cloud site with guest user access enabled. See Allow Guest User Access.
- Set up Workforce Scheduling and confirm the CRM booking experience works before you extend it to guests.
- Confirm your org can send outbound email because guests receive a one-time passcode by email to verify their identity.
How guest scheduling works
Guests aren't logged in, so they can't be matched to a contact or account the way authenticated users are. Guest scheduling handles this with two additions to the standard flows:
- Identity verification. Before a guest booking is saved, the flow collects the guest's name and email, sends a one-time passcode by email, and validates it.
- Guest data access. Guests read scheduling data through a permission set and criteria-based sharing rules that you grant explicitly.
You set up guest scheduling by cloning the shipped scheduling flows, pointing them at guest identity verification, and adding them to your guest Experience Cloud pages.
- Assign Guest Access
Assign the permission sets that let guest users read the scheduling data model and create appointments. - Grant Guests Read Access to Scheduling Data
Share the scheduling records that guests need to see available time slots and complete a booking. - Set Up the Guest Flows
Clone the shipped scheduling flows so you can activate them, make them available to guests, and point them at guest identity verification. - Add the Flows to Your Guest Pages
Add the flows directly to your guest Experience Cloud pages.
