How community scheduling works
Community users sign in, so Salesforce matches each user to their contact and account. The scheduling flow ties every appointment to the signed-in user's own account, resolved from their user account ID. Because the user is authenticated, community scheduling needs no identity verification and no customer picker.
You set up community scheduling by granting users read access to scheduling data, cloning the shipped scheduling flow for the inbound context, and adding the Appointment Related List component to your community pages.
- Assign Community User Access
Confirm external licenses and assign the permission set that lets community users read the scheduling data model and book their own appointments. - Grant Community Users Read Access to Scheduling Data
Share the scheduling records that community users need to see available time slots and complete a booking. - Set Up the Community Scheduling Flows
Clone the shipped scheduling flow so you can activate it, make it available to community users, and run it in the inbound context. - Add Scheduling to Your Community Pages
Add the Appointment Related List component to your community pages.
