Review information about the Schedule tab and compact layout before you set it up. This layout option lets your mobile workers see visit and interaction fields on the Schedule tab. Workers can scan a mixed day of field visits and on-site appointments and see who they’re meeting, where, and what kind of work before they open a record.

Considerations and Limitations
- The primary compact layout sets the Schedule tab details for visits and interactions in orgs that use Workforce Scheduling. Orgs that don't use Workforce Scheduling continue to use the service appointment list view or search layout.
- The schedule list stays in chronological order by the service appointment's Scheduled Start field. Mobile workers filter the list with the date picker. The service appointment list view still controls which service appointments are included. Linking a visit or an interaction doesn't add a separate list or change that filter.
- When a mobile worker taps a visit or an interaction, the Field Service mobile app opens the guided experience when one is configured. Otherwise, the app opens that record's Details and Related tabs. When a mobile worker taps a service appointment that isn't linked to a visit or an interaction, the app opens the parent work order or work order line item.
- On the schedule item's actions menu, record details and record edit open the related visit or interaction. Call and text actions use the contact on the service appointment. Directions use the service appointment address. A status change updates the service appointment.
- Resource absences continue to appear when Display Resource Absences in the Schedule page is turned on in Field Service Mobile Settings.
- Appointment bundling isn't supported for visits or interactions.
Set Up Schedule Tab Details for Visits and Interactions
Configure the primary compact layout on the Schedule tab so mobile workers see who they're meeting, where, and what kind of work before they open a record.

If mobile workers also see service appointments that aren’t linked to a visit or an

Service appointments that aren’t linked to a visit or an interaction keep the Schedule tab setup in the Field Service Mobile App. Don’t assign a service appointment with a compact layout for those rows.
