Operating Hours hold a set of time slots, and each slot names a day, a start time, and an end time. Taken together, operating hours define when work can be scheduled for your resources.

1. From Salesforce Go, search for and select **Workforce Scheduling Data & Permissions**.
2. Click **Create Operating Hours and Slots** and then **New Operating Hours**.
3. Enter the details that identify the operating hours and its slots.

    - Name: the name of the operating hours.
    - Description: what this operating hour covers.
    - Time Zone: the time zone of the operating hours.
4. For the day to which you want to add operating hours, click **Add Hours**.

    - Click ![Add Hours](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-service-workforce_scheduling-264-0-0-production-enus/1eb114f2-bdf8-40c9-98ed-accb880f7906/workforce_scheduling/images/wfs_add_hours_icon.png) to add additional hours to a specific day.
    - Select the Start Time and End Time.
    - Specify the Scope as either **Field** or **On-site**.
    - If you select the Scope as Field, then also select the Time Slot Type as **Normal** or **Extended**. Select **Extended** to represent overtime shifts.
    - Add Hours to additional days and then click **Copy to All** to copy the operating hours to other days too.

Note Ensure that the time slots of the on-site and field time slots don't overlap.
