# Create Contact Center with Metadata API

You can also use metadata API to create a contact center.

### Required Editions

This article applies to:

- Salesforce Voice with Partner Telephony from Amazon Connect

1. Generate the CallCenter metadata. An example is available in [GitHub](https://github.com/service-cloud-voice/ServiceCloudVoiceLambdas). You must add correct values for the AWS artifacts. Otherwise, the related functionality doesn’t work in Salesforce UI.
2. Create a package.xml file. An example is available in [GitHub](https://github.com/service-cloud-voice/ServiceCloudVoiceLambdas).
3. Create an archive zip containing the CallCenter metadata file, and a package.xml file.
4. To upload the zip file for creating the contact center in Salesforce, use your preferred method to access Metadata API. See [Metadata API Developer Guide](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.api_meta.meta/api_meta/meta_types_list.htm).
