# Create a Health Verification Record Type on the Person Account Object

Optionally, you can create a record type specifically for health verifications on the Person Account object.

### Required Editions

The default value for the Person Account Record type is `PersonAccount`.

To create a record type specifically for health verifications on the Person Account object, complete these steps.

1. Create a Person Account Record Type specific to health verifications on the Person Account object.
    
    For instructions, see [Create Record Types](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.creating_record_types.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
2. Go to Custom Setting and select **Health Verification Person Account Pref**.
3. In Custom Setting Definition Detail, click **Manage** and edit the field value for `Health_Verification_Person_Acct_Pref__c.RecordTypeName__c` to the new record type.
    
    Any Health Verification record created thereafter is associated with the new record type.
