## VACCINE RECALL AND REMINDERS

Communicate vaccine recalls and reminders to patient cohorts based on filters such as vaccine batch or lot number. The COVID-19 vaccines being released require two administrations for optimal efficacy. Increasing outcomes through an effective reminder strategy is a key design consideration.

Variations

Departments of public health need communication from manufacturers if they’ve been allocating vaccines. Providers need this information in real time and any instructions for how to manage and coordinate when their patients are impacted. Consumers require notification.

Technical Capability

Consider how primary care electronic health records (EHR) and other clinical systems are integrated.

Use the EHR vaccination protocol and EHR immunization data model to support this requirement.

Use lot or batch numbers to identify patients that require a recall communication. Use SMS messaging and Marketing Cloud Engagement journeys to communicate with patients.
