## CHECK-IN VERIFICATION

Ability to confirm the identity of the patient via multiple factors, capture any relevant payment or insurance information, and verify that the patient is entitled to receive the vaccine.

Verification that the patient is entitled to receive the vaccine is primarily a COVID-19 requirement. Certain population cohorts are prioritized to receive the vaccine first. Referral redemption refers to some proof that the person appearing for vaccination is entitled to receive it. Ensure your implementation is also available to consumers who may not have access to smart phones or the internet.

Consider using a Mobile App or SMS System with QR or reference code for verification of entitlement for vaccination.

Consider Care Programs to define eligibility criteria or Care Program Cards to enroll patient cohorts and issue reference code.

## PROTOCOL GUIDED VACCINATION

Ensure that the correct vaccine protocol is used or recorded against the vaccine administered to the patient.

A vaccine protocol specifies the number of doses or quantity administered based on manufacturers directions and recommendations from an authority such as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) or the World Health Organization (WHO).

Technical Capability

Consider Health Cloud electronic health record (EHR) objects, EHR vaccination protocol, EHR immunization, and EHR condition.

Data Model might require an extension to correctly model the vaccine protocol and immunization relationship. Lightning Web Component may be required to provide a suitable user experience.

## CLINICAL ASSESSMENT

## MANUFACTURE BATCH OR LOT RECORDING

Ability to record which vaccine batch or lot was administered to a patient.

Every vaccine has an associated batch or lot number and it might be allocated to thousands of vaccines. The accurate recording of the batch number is essential if circumstances arise where patients must be notified of an issue with a batch of vaccines.

Use the standard field on the electronic health record (EHR) immunization for recording the batch number used for a patient.
