## Configuration I: Create and Assign the Admin User Role

Set the specific permissions you must have to build the Service Catalog site.

1. [Create a user role](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.admin_roles.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
2. [Assign the user role](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?language=en_US&id=sf.assigning_users_to_roles.htm&type=5).
3. [Assign the Service Catalog builder permission set](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.perm_sets_manage_assignments.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

## Configuration II: Enable Experience Cloud for Service Catalog

Create your Service Catalog site and configure its settings.

1. [Enable Digital Experiences](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=experience.networks_enable.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
2. Enable external user generation.
    1. From Setup, enter Digital Experiences in the Quick Find box, and then select **Digital Experiences** | **Settings**.
    2. From Settings, select **Allow using standard external profiles for self-registration, user creation, and login**.
3. [Create an Experience Cloud site](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=experience.networks_creating.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

Important Service Catalog pages and components are supported only on the Build Your Own (Aura), Build Your Own (LWR), Customer Account Portal, and Customer Service templates.

Your site is created in Preview status. Stay in Setup to complete all CRM tasks before you enter Experience Builder, but keep the page open for easy access when you start building your site.

## Configuration III: Create a Service Catalog Site List View

List views show user records and details for objects. Create list views for site users to see their requests in the Service Catalog site.

1. From the App Launcher, enter Service Catalog Request, and then select **Service Catalog Request**.
2. From the Service Catalog Requests page, click ![gear](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-service-support-264-0-0-production-enus/dd14551c-a772-4db6-9a1d-d84df8df2980/support/images/service_catalog/community_builder_page_properties_gear.png), and then select **New**.
3. From the New List View window, in the List Name field, enter My Service Catalog Requests.
4. Select **All users can see this list view**.
5. Save your work.

When you complete step III, your CRM setup for the Service Catalog site is complete. Proceed to [Service Catalog Site Permissions Assignments](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.svc_site_permission_assignments.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
