Every 24 hours, the Field Service mobile app evaluates whether your offline map covers
the locations for a mobile worker's upcoming service appointments. If the app detects that the
map area is insufficient for the next 24 hours of work, it prompts them to replace the current
map with a new one that includes the relevant area.

How Map Data Stays Current
What mobile workers see on the map depends on whether they're online or offline and
where the data comes from. A record that mobile workers create or update themselves
always appears on their map, in either mode.
Online, mobile workers always see the most current data. The map refreshes each time they
open it, and they can refresh it manually by pulling down.
Offline, whether mobile workers see other users' changes depends on the data
source.
- Salesforce data
- Other users' changes appear only after a briefcase sync completes.
- ArcGIS data
- Other users' changes appear after a manual refresh or the automatic refresh that
runs every 24 hours.
The 24-hour refresh interval is fixed and can't be shortened. To get the latest data
sooner, mobile workers can refresh the map manually.
