# Initial Field Values in the Field Service Mobile App

The initial value shown in a field when running a quick action depends on several factors.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning Experience</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">The Field Service core features, managed package, and mobile app are available in <strong>Enterprise</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and <strong>Developer</strong> Editions.</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">To access the Field Service mobile app, users need the Field Service Mobile user license.</td></tr></tbody></table>

When running a quick action from the mobile app, like for creating a work order, it can be difficult to identify where initial field values come from. Fields can have default values that you can find using Object Manager. Also, quick actions can have predefined values for fields. We try to use a predefined value as the initial value, and only use a different value when no predefined value exists or when offline.

The following table lists the initial field values given different criteria.

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small ">
      <colgroup>
        <col style="width:25%">

        <col style="width:25%">

      <thead class="slds-text-title_caps ">

\* Predefined values can contain formulas. A blank value appears if the server can’t resolve the formula.
