To set up Salesforce Knowledge, a Salesforce admin must be a Knowledge User to access settings for Knowledge. Log in with your Salesforce admin credentials. Then, on the Users page in Setup, click **Edit** next to your name, select **Knowledge User**, and save your changes.

1. To set up your knowledge base in Lightning Experience, use the guided setup flow in Salesforce Go.

After you enable Lightning Knowledge, you can’t disable it.

    1. Go to Salesforce Go and search for Knowledge.
    2. Click **Get Started** or **Keep Going**.
    3. Turn on Knowledge.
    4. To trigger the setup flow for Lightning Knowledge, click **Manage** next to Assign your Knowledge Authors and Create Data Categories.

Follow the instructions in the setup flow to complete the setup. To learn more about what the flow does, see [Set Up Lightning Knowledge with a Guided Setup Flow](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.service_setup_knowledge.htm&type=5&language=en_US)
2. To give your support team access to articles in Lightning Knowledge, create user profiles and assign the appropriate permissions.

The permissions allow users to create, edit, archive, and delete articles. See [Lightning Knowledge User Access](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.knowledge_setup_users_lex.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
