# Request Virtual Machine Restart or Reboot

Deploy this template to provide employees with a standardized way to request a restart or reboot of a virtual machine.

### Required Editions

This template creates a service request record that captures essential user details for accurate and auditable fulfillment. Review what’s included with the template.

## Intake Attributes

The intake form for this template captures these details from the employee:

- Resource Group Name: The name of the resource group containing the virtual machine.
- Virtual Machine Name: The name of the virtual machine that requires a restart or reboot.
- Restart Reason: The justification or reason for the virtual machine restart or reboot.

## Automated Fulfillment

This service process includes a fulfillment flow that automatically processes the service request. You can extend this flow in Flow Builder to include custom logic, such as automated manager approvals or inventory checks.

Note After manager approval, the flow restarts the specified virtual machine.
