# Request DNS Record Creation

Deploy this template to provide employees with a standardized way to request the creation of a new DNS record.

This template creates a service request record that captures essential user details for accurate and auditable fulfillment. Review what’s included with the template.

## Intake Attributes

The intake form for this template captures these details from the employee:

- Record Name: The name of the Domain Name System (DNS) record.
- DNS Zone: The authorized DNS zone for the record.
- Record Type: The specific type of DNS record.
- TTL: The time-to-live (TTL) value for the DNS record.
- Record Address: The IP address or target value for the DNS record.
- Comments: Additional context or justification for the DNS record request.

## Automated Fulfillment

This service process includes a fulfillment flow that automatically processes the service request. You can extend this flow in Flow Builder to include custom logic, such as automated manager approvals or inventory checks.
