9. Set up optional features, including release templates, notifications, and event types.

    - Define release templates to manage the stages of the release lifecycle and associated tasks. See [Stage Management for Agentforce IT Service](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.it_srvcs_stage_mgmt.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Experience enhanced control with Agentforce IT Service's stage management and guided transitions, orchestrating a clear journey for incidents, problems, change requests, and releases. You can define the stages and steps or tasks for each record, capturing the unique nuances of every process. This ensures that every incident, problem, change, and release follows a standardized workflow from start to finish.").
    - Configure release notifications to deliver IT service release updates through your preferred communication channels. See [Notifications for IT Services](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.it_srvcs_notifications.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Keep IT teams and employees informed with timely notifications across their preferred communication channels. Admins define message content, timing, recipients, and delivery channels for standard and custom objects, including their related records.").
    - Set up predefined release event types on the IT Service Calendar to schedule and track releases more effectively. See [IT Service Calendar](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.it_srvcs_calendar.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Manage IT change requests, releases, business moratoriums, maintenance windows, and holidays in a single, color-coded calendar. The IT Service Calendar automatically creates events for new change requests and releases to help teams plan efficiently and avoid scheduling conflicts.").
    - Turn on default field validations to maintain data accuracy throughout the release lifecycle.

Default field validations help prevent common errors during record creation and updates. These fields are validated and must meet the required input rules.
